KIRK & KIRK «AMANDA»

Today I present to you a brand that I was looking forward … it is the British brand KIRK & KIRK. Their glasses are different from all the collections we’ve seen.

Today I will talk about the KALEIDOSCOPE collection that draws much attention for being an oasis of color in a world of «retro» collections . The surprise was greater when finally I had a KIRK & KIRK in my hand: they are super lightweight and is in the acrylic material where lies the secret of this brand….

Karen & Jason Kirk come from a long  tradition family dating back three generations ago in London (1919). Furthermore, they are veterans in the world of eyewear, with more than 20 years worked with other brands they have compiled the wisdom to make their own family brand. They have not done anyway, after several years of research with acrylic materials have achieved a formula to treat acrylic material as if it were a sheet of acetate, the advantages of the material are the lightness and exclusive colors obtained. All their glasses are hand made in France, of course with a unique process.

AMANDA has hexagonal form (which is overall trend for this season), a very wide profile and angled forms. But above the translucent red it is impressive (it has a light pink touch the inside of the front seen from certain angles). The lenses are quite clear reddish brown degraded giving a super retro look. You can see more colors on their website, do not miss them, they are really amazing !!

I hope you like it!!! 🙂
